Makes me never want to fly again. Look how different from years back. You took a bag, went to the airport, got a ticket at the counter, walked straight out to the plane and off you went. Simple!! Now, most of the trip is planning, prep, gizmos, expense, headaches. Not much room left for fun which was the point.

07:05 I just use a separate device like a tablet or bring a book on board. But from my experience in long flights, sleeping it out is often the best option. 🤣😂 Thanks for the video!

I love aviation and looking out the window. I hate flying a long flight when everyone closes the window. It is so uncomfortable. It is utterly impossible to fall asleep, even overnight.
Perhaps you can recommend food options that will shorten the length of my legs. Maybe then I'll look forward to flying economy.

My inflight bag is also a tray cover. It has a large pocket that accomdates my tablet. Also 3 smaller pickets. I clip my headphone case to it too. I just take it from my carry on and slip it over the tray table. Everything is in easy reach this way.
Take an insulated water bottle. You can take ice through security, or buy a cup of ice after security. Mist airports have filtered water fillers at the water fountains
For the blocked ear use the valsalva manoeuvre (ie block your nose whilst punching your nose)
On long flights I always wear noise cancelling headphones. It definitely makes a difference as I feel less tired when I get there.
I used to fly with my mum on BOAC when there was no screens for entertainment, no headphones and kids were taken up to meet the captain and crew and were issued a cute hard covered booklet to stamp. I got colouring books and colours and even toys and puzzles the “While "steward" and "stewardess" were historically used to refer to flight attendants, the modern, gender-neutral term is "flight attendant" dotted on the kids. Simpler times and it was lovely. Ohh no special meals and unlimited snacks and drinks. Everyone was polite and curious. It was enjoyable back then now not at all…

Always take an EMPTY 12-ounce Gatorade bottle. Much stronger structurally than the thinner water bottles you buy.
Yeah, it's a great advantage not having to queue for the toilets, provided that you enjoy having to climb over your neighbour who is still eating because he did not order a "special meal in advance", and your neighbour will appreciate that very much too! See what I'm getting at? You'll have to wait until your neighbour has finished his meal anyway, so at least this advantage of being served first goes out the window, … off course, to tackle this problem, from now on we will all order a special meal in advance, so all of us will be the first to get our meal served, … and we still have to queue for the toilets, ….

I place my valuables, passport, etc in a belt bag. During the flight, I turn the belt bag backward and use it as my back support. Also give me a piece of mind no one will take my valuables when I sleep. Find the size that suits your back.
I bring one or two clean trash bags (depends on how many connecting flights) and place my personal bag in there before placing it under the seat in front of me. That area is where people rest their feet. So gross. At the end of the flight, just trash it.

Yes nothing is free anymore, I remember flying in the 60s yes I’m old lol but you received a hot meal and great service, Today you get hit in the head with a bag of peanuts and a water if your lucky

For some weird reason, the last few times I flew, airsick bags were not made available. I had a stomach upset on one flight, and I literally almost didn’t make it to the bathroom. I was told that sick bags were no longer provided. Huh??!!

Nreal glasses make life easier on the plane so you can watch movies or use them for computer work. The screen on the glasses is like an IMAX screen.
