Thank you Peter for sharing all this great sociology adventure with us! You're the best.
Just sub'd! What a channel, very very cool your travels! I especially enjoy your visits with Titus, what a fella! Your videos with him are what started this for me so while I begin my delve into your content let me say thank you for such educating and interesting material!
Loved it!❤ I wanta go!
Thanks!
Hey Amelia go go girl and my five cents you did grrrreat!!
The southern states have so much variation its amazing. People are warm and friendly there once you get east of Texas. In Texas you will mostly get people who like telling stories, which seems to be their thing. There in Louisiana they are just pure people people. Its nice to see other stuff and get away from Texas Tall Tale culture, not that it's bad or anything. Just refreshing to see other type of southern people. And yes we are southern in Texas for those who wonder.
What hospitality!!!!!!!
So cool, thank you!
Peter – " whats hog lord? " hahahah
All gravestones are above ground…????
that couple 51 years thats love
Thanks watching from uganda.love your videos used to live in Massachusetts 12years ago
I love your storytelling! I spent this past winter and spring in Southern Louisiana, and it is truly a special place, I fell in love with it!
Awesome House.
faut apprendre le francais du quebec, canada pas paris!!!! cajun is canajian!
The French from Nova Scotia did not go to new Orleans voluntary, it was forced migration, the English government took the Acadian men and deported them, their families found them and followed on foot.
Hi Peter. Thanks again for this film. Watched awhile ago an thought it was interesting then.. Ditto this time around. Really liked that house that was done up and the generosity of the couple at the end eating a meal. Thanks that was cool second time around. From Greg-Gilbert in sw UK…
Wow!
For someone saying they aren't fluent in their native language that old boy in the store sure rattled their tribal pledge off like a champ…..🫡
This is why I've been considering Louisiana is it possible future home for me, I'm a poor live on a fixed income and this is one state that you can still find something in the right Town that's really dirt cheap and be able to live somewhat comfortably despite having to deal with floods and hurricanes LOL I can adapt to any parts of the South because I am of Southern descent tell Louisiana or even New Orleans it's been on my list
A lot of other states agree with Alabama, band together. The Feds could cut off imigrant resources, then they'll spike the crime rate trying to survive
2:30 Jr. Food Mart. Common convenience store in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Heartbreaking how many towns are on the REAL verge of collapse 😢. Our fellow Americans. Usually generations. I hope Rickeys bakery flourishes after this.
My bf used to live a few houses down from the gas station
23:59 – 24:05
…on the other hand, that’s what america small town was before, say, the 1940’s
That disconnection of the culture that followed “the new deal” era and the birth of modern racism a few decades earlier is why we have our social and cultural problems today.
"oh yea we all speak french" but nothing is in french and nobody spoke french….
yes… i'm sure that ginger guy is a native… lol americans… when they have 1% blood of something, they become that something lol
Every single person you talked to seemed absolutely awesome and like they have a million stories to tell that need to be heard. I’d kill to be able to do this, travel all over the U.S. and learn about all these different cultures, upbringings, lifestyles, etc.
you’re doing a great job bringing it to us for those that can’t do that at the moment. Keep it up!! 👍🏼
Wow, that was a real treat seeing the old mansion! So beautiful it makes me long for days gone by.
Wasn’t Django Unchained filmed here.
You don’t understand ALL the south is this way…
I like that s channel, but the videography on this one was very off . Shaking , sky shots when showing the towns . Half shots of the people . More sky shots . Well anyway, I do appreciate what you do . Just check this particular video
Fantastic video man. Thanks!!!
I enjoy these videos. Thank you Peter
Dude just brings you inside of a plantation. I saw that coming when he called the slaves “1800s field labor”
