arriving early to the airport is a scam tho 😂
QUESTION: Looking at your little necklace because I wear one, does this have to be removed for TSA? I do remove my memorial bracelet because it sets off the alarm. Thank you.
I have not flown in a few years…….can deodorant be "normal" size or does it have to be travel size?
Big question, if you can’t wear a hidden belt bag through your TSA screening, what do you do with it? Just put it in the container to be screened? My husband will be wearing one but is over 75 years old & we are flying internationally.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS GREAT AND USEFUL INFORMATION ❤✈️
You break down complex topics so well, thank you!
I was flying from Salt Lake City to Copenhagen. This was a tour package. First a flight from SLC to Chicago. Then Chicago to Copenhagen. I had 1 hour and 29 minutes in Chicago. I had to get to the otherside of the airport including going through security. I asked the tour company to get me an earlier flight to Chicago. They absolutely refused. There were earlier flights but apparently they contract for certain flights. Since I was in my 60s and not very fast and I didn't know O'Hare I got wheelchair service. I Figured the wheelchair pusher would know how to get around the airport and could do it faster than I could. There was a tram I had to ride and we had to ride on serveral elevators. At one point I asked him to check the gate and it had changed. Finally, we got to the gate. It was 9:15 p.m. and boarding started at 9:20 p.m. so I had time for a restroom visit and to fill up my bottled and then time to board. As I was flying Business Class I was one of the first on the plane. I made the connection, but it was stressful.
It is better to hurry up and wait at the airport. 😅 😅 😅
In the Hobart (on Tasmania, Australia) airport, they have an area after the check in counter, and before security called “The Hugging Zone”. You get it all done before you begin security. Brilliant!
Saying hello from Los Angeles! I've been looking at different travel tip videos, and I find yours to be the most informative.
Item 6) Shoes. I am 78, and can be unsteady unless sitting down to put on shoes. Does the new rule that over 75s can keep shoes on apply worldwide or only in the US?
I appreciate your content. Thank you.
I am 78 and my first trip back to the states to see family in 10 years. Happy news about the shoes. Have balance issues. I watch all your tips, tricks and hacks. Big thank you! Still will be relieved to return safely to NZ ❤
OUCH !
i really enjoyed this video, it's super informative and a great reminder for travelers! however, i have to say, some of these "mistakes" seem a bit exaggerated. for instance, the idea that you should always arrive three hours early for international flights feels outdated. with modern tech and streamlined processes, it seems like two hours would be more than enough for most situations. what do you all think?

Ex-TSA here…to help expedite through the checkpoint, wear clothes with no bling or extra pockets or any bulk. Those machines will pick up extra material. Therefore, they will have to pat you down and if their hands ding, well then more checking will have to be done. Play it safe and smart and dress plain Jane and comfortable.
I booked my ticket third party, and just put my first and last name on the ticket. Good thing my mom warned me that I have to have my middle name since it's on my passport/license. I called a week before my flight and they were able to change it with no fee.
We always make sure now to have at least a 2 hour layover between flights, especially when going to a much bigger airport. We did miss a flight due to weather but were able to get another connecting one but super stressful. Seattle is the worse if flying to Alaska.
He Laurie, I so appreciate your travel hacks & tips! I live outside of Seattle. 🤗
Do you have any helpful tips for disabled travellers going through the security lines please Laurie? I now need a crutch to get around and can’t carry weight on my back. Getting organised takes me longer and I’m looking into slip on shoes to speed the process up a little bit. Hoping on our next vacation to use a wheeled carry on too.
I never travel during holidays because my sensory issues would have absolutely zero chance of surviving it due to my autism. I much rather watch holiday travel on TV.
Great tips! I just found and subscribed to your channel. I recently learned about stuffable neck pillows, which can save space and help avoid extra luggage fees. I'm wondering if I might encounter any issues with TSA or the gate agent if I pack my clothes inside two of these neck pillow cases, fold them, and place them in my backpack. I prefer to have control of my luggage, and I don’t want to travel with even a small carry-on hardshell suitcase. I have a long layover and would like the convenience of leaning on my backpack for a quick snooze. Since it's a short trip, I’m packing lightweight, foldable items that will make for a comfortable neck pillow, if I am allowed to board with it around my neck. I haven't tried them out yet; they appear to make for great space savers. Thanks!
Oh my goodness, I am dying here laughing, the best ever ! You can be sooo……. FUNNY. THIS WAS AN ACADEMY AWARD PERFORMANCE. Luv the pretty bag and the color
Take care,
❤ Sefergirl 😂 😂 😂 ❤
We find people are so very inconsiderate in taking their time de-boarding! Guess they are totally unaware some people have very tight connections!
Why can’t passengers without carry on luggage go first? They can get off the plane in two minutes. Other passengers can use those empty seats to place their carry ons while waiting in the long lines to deplane.
Hey! 👋
Love all your tips : what about " your own snacks & having another way to get scaned ( tsa scan person ) manual
Change of terminals is another issue!
Usually the time for connections is impossible as you say, plus the first flight is delayed most of the time , in Canada. Every time, I flight to LA, I need to change my second flight from Chicago or Charlotte because I can be on time.
