Welcome to beautiful Colorful Colorado!! Brrr it’s so cold here hope you are staying warm!! ❤❤
It is November 9th. I have 15 inches of snow in my front yard. Coloradoans follow layering rules.
#1 t-shirts… Short and long sleeve.
#2 sweaters/cardigans… One of each
#3 fleece hoodie with a zip – mens are thicker
#4 pants…jeans, fleece joggers, knit slacks
#5 shoes…hiking/athletic shoes, flats for evening…(boots if snow is forecasted)
#6 puffer jacket if you're from out of state, gloves and a warm hat
Everything else is optional – your choice.
I have used those battery packs and have lost 2 of them while they were plugged in and taking photos. I like them but I prefer the “Clutch” brand. They are flat and have a magnet to hold onto phone.
Laurie. I saw your video on Viking on the bedbugs and it was taken down quickly the next day. But we also experienced the same thing on the Viking Venus on the Homelands Tour July10-26, 2024. But the little black dots didn’t make sense to us. My husband even asked when we got home and he was itching that maybe it was bugs. I of course replied No not on Viking. But we did experience what you did.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for all of your wonderful videos! So helpful! Headed to England with carryon and personal item bag in a few weeks!
I lived and worked at the ER in Frisco for 18 yrs. The worst thing you can do is land in Denver, drink alcohol, then drive up to Frisco. I can tell you many stories of men and women in our ER with altitude sickness, sucking on oxygen. Some people are so susceptible that there is always at least 1-3 times per winter when they leave a sick friend in the condo and come back later in the day to find them dead from High Altitude Pulmonary Edema. Enjoy your time in Summit.
I'm in Grand Junction. Cooler here means it's under 100°F 😂.
❤
Have you used the cases that have a built in charger? I use the Newberry brand and it’s WONDERFUL. All chargers w a regular charge plug (at the same time as your phone!)
I just came back from Estes Park, Colorado. My 20L backpack was the perfect choice for 6 day trip.
So great to run into you on your vacation in the troll trail.
Breckenridge is so so beautiful 😍
Love your glasses- who are they???
You need to come over to my side of the summit, lots to do and see in the Vail area!!😊 Enjoy your trip, I love living here!!
I travel to Denver, at least once a year, and the altitude is always an issue for me no matter how well hydrated I am. I have found acclimate supplement, and Zaca supplement work well for me to avoid altitude issues like headaches, bloating, breathing problems, and sleeplessness. As well as being well hydrated before and during my visit .
Thanks ❤Cashmere.
Laurie, you were right- I got it- rolled through TSA like a breeze. Practiced and the only thing I would recommend for Newark airport, slippers are not acceptable as you go through TSA. I normally wear the medical blue shoe shields and they are ok with that.
Important: they have digital scanners so no need to take out liquids or computers.
I love the Talbots T skorts
Love all your trips. I have learned so much. Enjoy your travels.
I love Frisco and Breckenridge! Have you eaten at Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe in Frisco? So yummy!
I spent a week in Dillon, CO in July. Definitely need a hat for spending time outdoors, which is all we did. Also be prepared for rain every afternoon. We saw some beautiful rainbows over Lake Dillon 3 days in a row, right from our condo deck! 🌈
Love ya Laurie! We were in Breckenridge in March- love it! Enjoy your short trip!
I bought the Anker charger & it's going back today. Used it once, charged my phone from 60% to 80% then it was empty. Took all night to charge up. Yesterday it didn't work at all. Couldn't charge my phone. Bought the Anker one you recommended.
Groovin and moovin, love your style Laurie! Would love to go to Colorado!
My husband and I have been traveling the EU for 4 weeks, and boy I have learned a lot about what to pack and what kind of materials.
Your hair looks super cute! My daughter goes to school in Boulder. I can never figure out to wear when visiting for family weekend. Lots of layers.
Wish I could have seen you live!!! Love all your advice. I'm not a vertical lover, prefer horizontal, but would watch you anytime , anyway!!!
What a fun video!!❤
So awesome to meet you today!!!
Are you ok? You seem out of breath.
Thank you for sharing❤
I’m flying in a bulkhead seat for part of an upcoming trip. Is there a hack to keep from putting my backpack in the overhead bin during takeoff and landing since there is no seat in front of me?
Catching up now. Had you on live, then our internet went out. More storm & rains coming thru Charleston, SC. (regulating body temp?) Safe travels home ~
Smartwool makes really nice merino wool tshirts. They do fit snugly, tho.
Spending a night or two in Denver first is helpful. Then head up I-70. I live in Northern Colorado, and I concur that some preemptive ibuprofen helps, too.
Ever wear Free Fly? It’s Bamboo. I’ve started my collection after a lady in her upper 70’s advised that’s what she travels with. They are pricy, but you can get a discount on your first order, then after they will send emails for you to give a review and then will give you a discount on your next order, and they do have sales. So far I’m loving my pieces and I am in my 60’s.
They also don’t take up much room.
You make me want to go to Colorado!😊
Scalp sunscreen is very important! I wish I knew when I was younger and then I might not of got skin cancers on my scalp!
Hi from Australia! ❤
If ever come to Arizona. We have a store called Soma Intimates here. I LOVE their pajamas. Tank top tops. Short & long sleeve tops. Long pangs. Capris. Shorts. But they are all soft silky material.
I love my pajamas by Joyspun. I get them at Walmart.
Love your channel on YouTube. Thanks 🙏 you all. You do let me know what to bring in part what clothes I can’t wear and what I don’t need not to bring thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤you have good me Maria keep watching your YouTube. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
Hi Laurie!
Merino Wool isn't as luxurious as the cashmere but it does regulate body heat well. I generally prefer the cashmere when I'm traveling however, lately, we've been going to areas up toward the Arctic and have needed functional pieces rather than what the locals would call 'fashion wear'… lolol. When we start traveling to the areas that are less about function and a little more about fashion, I'll be looking for the cashmere sweater that you recommend. I know it's wonderful!!! 🙂
Also, Anker is a great brand for all things charging, whether a person has Android or iPhone! (Just in case anyone thinks it's only for iPhone)
Happy travels!
Aw, missed you live, this was fun anyway! Peace and love to you and our beautiful friends!
It Almost Always Rains Every afternoon,
in the Mountains.
SexyModest also has t-shirts for $30 that exactly match the joggers. Makes a great sleep or lounging set.
I live in Colorado Springs, wish I could have met you, only 90 minutes away 😊
Great to see you Laurie girl❣❣❣ Have a great trip~ Joan
ha, I saw a cougar in the wild, yesterday, (by which I mean the feline variety) it was cool to add that to the wildlife I've seen in the wild.
Mrs K has her new orthopedic. I've pretty much decided we're not going to have her wearing it through security, at least. I'm sure it will get easier with practice, but it's a headache to get on and off. plus, I've pretty much committed to having mobility assistance for her – it makes the trip through the terminal quicker and less tiring for her. I'm also going to lobby to put the critical stuff (medication and electronics) all in the same carryon, and the other carryon stuff in the other carryon – which will give us the flexibility to gate check the second carryon if need be.
I live in Colorado, and I love to spend weekends in Frisco. 😊
We definitely have pollen. I have allergies bad. 😫
Nice tip on the scalp sunscreen. I’m going to look for that.
